Consignment

Most people think the things that are consigned have been used before, some times so, but many times not.

In the case of the Clothes Horse our merchandise is from other Bridal Stores, Manufactures or from individuals, who may or may not have worn the gown. 90% of our gowns are new, and 10% are like new.

The Clothes Horse receives new merchandise from famous designers: ie, Vera Wang, Scassi, Demetrios, Mary's, Christos, Zurc, Lazaro, Maggie Sottero, Pronovias, Sweethearts, Mon Cheri, Mori Lee, Alfred Angelo, et al.

Our prices are wholesale or below. Find a Designer look without the Designer prices at the Clothes Horse.

We have an in-house Alteration Specialist, that is trained in Bridal & Formalwear.

Consignment Terms

• Merchandise in the best condition, brings the best prices. Look your items over carefully, and make sure they still have life left in them to sell.

• Please do not be offended if we say no-thanks. We select what our customers will buy. Our customers preference is our selection guidelines.

• We only accept CLEAN freshly laundered and pressed, or dry cleaned clothing. In order to save you a trip to the cleaners we offer Wedding Gown and Formalwear cleaning service.

• All items must be brought in on HANGERS, items brought in bags, wrinked, folded or smell of any odors can not be considered for consignment.

• Bring in only your IN-SEASON and the CURRENT STYLES not over 2 years old.

• All garments brought in for consignment must have labels (i.e. size, fabric content and care instructions).

• You must own your garments. We do not accept third party consignment.

• The store will set the price based on our experience in knowing what an item will sell for, and you will be paid a 40% commission when your merchandise is sold.

• Ready To Wear clothing is consigned for 60 days, and Bridal & Formalwear has a 90 day minimum, with a one (1) year maximum.
